Supercomputer predicts David Moyes to break 12-year streak in Everton vs Man United

Everton are looking for their biggest result of the season when Manchester United visit Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday evening.

The Toffees are enjoying a brilliant season under David Moyes as they sit eighth in the Premier League, despite the frustrations of some fans over recent performances.

The recent 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth at Hill Dickinson Stadium was certainly a damaging blow, and it highlights a trend of poor results in L4.

Everton have lost five of their last nine Premier League home games, as many as they had in their previous 28.

However, there is a good chance that they will put an end to this against Michael Carrick’s side on Monday.

Everton predicted as slight favourites to beat Man United

Man United are currently fourth in the league after drawing their last match 1-1 with West Ham.

Since Carrick’s arrival, they are unbeaten in five games, and he has done a brilliant job since replacing Ruben Amorim on an interim basis.

However, according to Opta’s supercomputer, the Toffees should feel confident of returning to winning ways.

Following their 1-0 win at Old Trafford in November, Everton are looking to complete just their second Premier League double over Man United after 2013-14, with Moyes in charge of the Red Devils in those games.

That certainly won’t be easy, as Man United have more away wins (19) and more wins overall (42) against Everton than any team has against another in Premier League history.

The Red Devils are the only side still unbeaten in 2026, and no side has earned more Premier League points (15) in that time, which shows how tough a test it will be.

While the Toffees should feel optimistic of completing the double over the Red Devils and ending the 12-year streak, they’ll have to be wary of their threat in the final third.

Man United’s attack has been on fire – unlike Everton’s

Man United have had more shots than any other side in the Premier League this season (417), with this their highest shots-per-game average (16) since 2011-12 (17).

Meanwhile, the last time they topped the shots charts at the end of a season was back in 2007-08.

Everton are averaging just 3.3 shots on target per game in the Premier League this season, their second-lowest on record (since 1997-98) in a single campaign, after 2017-18 (3.2).

The Red Devils have the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Bruno Fernandes, who possess real quality in attack, while the Toffees have struggled to maintain consistency.

This is a huge game for Thierno Barry and Iliman Ndiaye to add to their tally of five league goals, and if they manage to find the back of the net, Man United would find it very tough to secure all three points.
