Everton fans to be let down by Friedkin Group amid Marcos Senesi transfer latest
Marcos Senesi is a player on Everton’s radar as they seek reinforcements in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Argentine centre-back is out of contract at the Vitality Stadium this season, leaving the 28-year-old available on a free transfer.
With Michael Keane currently set to leave on a free as well, the Toffees will certainly need to bring in defensive reinforcements.
Senesi has spent the last four seasons in England and would arrive as a ready-made option for David Moyes.
Everton fans would have enjoyed his Man of the Match performance against Liverpool back in January.
However, there may be some disappointment as The Friedkin Group appear to be making a move for Senesi away from Everton.
Roma working on Marcos Senesi deal
Senesi is a player with high demand, as multiple clubs, including Everton, are seeking to strike a deal for the Argentine defender.
However, one of those teams, who are reportedly already in talks, is AS Roma, who are owned by The Friedkin Group.
The Italian club forms part of the multi-club model that Everton’s owners currently utilise, but that could now be a negative for the Toffees.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are working on signing the Bournemouth defender, having begun “testing the waters”.

The information by the Italian outlet also suggests that the only two clubs in the race for the Cherries centre-back are Roma and Juventus.
Of course, with Everton one of the reported clubs looking to sign Senesi, this news will not land well with supporters, as The Friedkin Group are seemingly prioritising the Serie A club in the race.
The Friedkin Group must avoid fracturing relationship with Everton fans
If Senesi does ultimately end up at Roma, then the Everton owners must avoid damaging themselves in the eyes of the Toffees fanbase.
Having two clubs owned by the same group battling it out for the same player is a situation that should be avoided at all costs because, as this saga could show, it may dampen relations between fans and the board.
If the Argentine moves to Roma, a defender that is either of similar quality or better than the Bournemouth man must simply be brought in instead.
Time will tell where Senesi ends up playing his football, but one thing is for sure: if he goes to the Italian capital, Blues fans will feel let down by The Friedkin Group.
Moyes may end up feeling the same heading into next season.
