Everton’s most sellable assets revealed as £170m transfer ultimatum becomes clear
Everton have enjoyed a season to remember so far, but it could come at a cost.
David Moyes has performed miracles by inspiring an unlikely charge for Europe, with the Toffees currently eighth and just a point behind seventh-placed Brentford.
But in this brutal, dog-eat-dog football landscape, the vultures are certain to come circling, and they may be forced to part ways with a handful of big-name players.
The hierarchy at Hill Dickinson Stadium are already drawing up their transfer targets ahead of next season, and will be working flat out with both incomings and outgoings.
While supporters won’t be best pleased with the sale of their best assets, they may not have much of a choice. Here, Goodison News reveals who could find themselves out the door.

The definitive source for EFC recruitment news
1) James Garner
Unsurprisingly, James Garner has often been linked with a move away from Merseyside.
The midfielder has been outstanding, scoring two goals and registering five assists in 29 Premier League appearances this year, and has attracted interest from Manchester United.
Everton, however, are in the driving seat, having tied him down to a bumper new four-and-a-half-year contract in January following months of discussions.
That new deal has quietened speculation over his future somewhat, but it is unlikely to be enough to prevent clubs from making an approach during the summer.

A figure in the region of £40million may bring the Toffees to the negotiating table.
2) Iliman Ndiaye
With eight goal contributions this season, Iliman Ndiaye has been just as integral to Everton. In his 62 total appearances for the club, he has netted 16 times – a solid return.
There is a reason Moyes has trusted him as his first-choice penalty taker, and his ability to create chances across the width of the frontline makes him invaluable.
Or does it? After all, every player has their price, whether clubs admit it or not.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with the forward over the past few months, and it would come as no shock if they were to make an official approach.
He is under contract until 2029 and would therefore cost around £70m.
3) Jarrad Branthwaite
Jarrad Branthwaite will also have a big say in whether Everton sneak into Europe.
When fit, he is a guaranteed starter and likely one of the very first names on Moyes’ team sheet, but again, the club may be unable to keep him beyond the summer.
That is because he is easily among the best central defenders in the Premier League, performing superbly in crucial metrics such as aerial duels and tackles per game.

But his injury record this season, which has seen him make just eight appearances in all competitions, could cause the likes of Man United and Tottenham to hold off for now.
Should they decide to swoop, they would almost certainly have to stump up at least £60m.
