What is Moyes’ contract situation at Everton?
Moyes was reappointed by Everton in January 2025, after Sean Dyche was dismissed from his post, and he saved the club from relegation.
The deal that he signed is believed to be a two-and-a-half-year contract, which is set to run until the summer of 2027.

At the moment, the Scotsman is set to leave his post at the end of the 2026-27 campaign, if he does not sign fresh terms.
What has been said about Moyes’ contract?
Alan Myers shared an update in January that suggests that Moyes may leave his role after his current contract expires.
The reliable Toffees reporter claimed that Moyes is expected to take charge until the end of his contract, but interesting did not say anything about him going beyond that.
Speaking to Everton News, he said: “I see him here this season and next, at least.”
What is the Friedkin Group’s dilemma?
The Friedkin Group have a dilemma on their hands, to stick with Moyes or to go in a different direction.
They could decide to go with a more exciting name, with the Blues fanbase desperate to win a trophy and end their 30-year drought for a major honour.
However, with the way that the 62-year-old is going right now, it seems like he could bring success to the L4 outfit if he was to continue.
It will not be an easy decision by any means, given Moyes’ long association with the Toffees and the way that his side have performed this season.
Graham Potter was linked with the role before Moyes came in, but appointing him would be a risk, given how his stint with West Ham went.
The grass may not necessarily be greener for the American owners, if they decide that replacing Moyes is the way to go.
