Jack Grealish shares Everton message before late Arsenal heartbreak

Everton loanee Jack Grealish followed their 2-0 loss to Arsenal on Saturday.

Grealish has been out of action since he suffered a season-ending foot fracture in January, in the 1-0 win over Aston Villa.

While he has not been on the pitch, he has still been keeping up with developments with the Hill Dickinson Stadium side.

Grealish’s Everton future remains in doubt, as it is not guaranteed that the Blues will bring him back for the next season, but he is still cheering them on.

What was Grealish’s message amid Arsenal vs Everton scenes

Everton lost in heartbreaking fashion, with Viktor Gyokeres’ 88th-minute effort being the difference between the sides, before Max Dowman finished it off at the last gasp.

Grealish shared an image on his social media on 14 March, that showed him watching the Toffees in their clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

He captioned the Instagram story with a message, saying: “Let’s go brothers” with a prayer and a blue heart emoji.

It is nice to see that the 30-year-old is still checking up on the side, despite not being able to help them on the pitch.

Grealish proves how much he loves Everton

Grealish’s latest story shows how much he loves Everton, despite only being on loan with the Merseysiders for this season.

It would not be a surprise at all, if he joined on a permanent deal in the summer, if the Friedkin Group can knock down Manchester City’s asking price.

They have a £50million buy clause agreed in the deal, but given the player’s injury history and the fact that is on the wrong side of 30, they will surely hope to get him for a cheaper fee.

Grealish clearly wants to be at Finch Farm, he has fallen back in love with the game under David Moyes, after years of Pep Guardiola’s tactical straightjacket, which did not give him the freedom to do what he does best.

The former Villa star has been pretty clear, if it is up to him, he would surely return to the L4 outfit when the time comes to make a decision on his future.

That call will be even easier if the Blues make it into European football, and the result against the Gunners will certainly not damage those ambitions.

The Toffees have eight games left and are in a great position to get themselves into the Europa Conference League at the very least.
