Everton to miss out on Ricardo Pepi as £31million agreement reached: Who could Toffees target next?
Everton had been linked with a move for Ricardo Pepi, but a move to Fulham beckons after an agreement was reached with PSV.
The Toffees made no secret of their desire to sign Pepi in both the summer and winter transfer windows, though those efforts ultimately fell short when the PSV forward suffered an arm injury in January that would require surgery.
Pepi made his return to the starting 11 just over a month later and has since scored two goals in five appearances, taking his tally for the season up to 13 across all competitions.
However, Everton’s interest in Pepi looks set to end there after it was reported by Fabrizio Romano that an agreement has been reached between Fulham and PSV for his transfer in the summer for a fee in the region of £31million.

Who could Everton target after Ricardo Pepi setback?
Pepi was one of several players to have been linked with Everton in the winter as they eyed attacking reinforcements.
Franculino was also linked with a move to Hill Dickinson, and given the form he has showcased this season, it may make sense for the Toffees to turn their attention towards him.
The 21-year-old has been out with an injury since the start of December, making his 24 goal involvements even more impressive this season.
Joshua Zirkzee was also mooted as a target for the Toffees, with an exit from Man United looking inevitable in the summer transfer window, given the lack of gametime he has had under Michael Carrick and Ruben Amorim.
Could Everton sanction a striker exit this summer?
Thierno Barry was a project signing, all being said, and he will be going nowhere this summer, at least not permanently.
However, for Beto, his future is far more uncertain.
He was linked with an exit on several occasions in January, but the Toffees’ inability to sign a replacement prevented that from happening.
Given the lack of form he has showcased in the Premier League, an exit from Merseyside feels likely ahead of the next campaign.
