Everton transfer for Liam Delap could be troublesome as Chelsea may want to make profit
Everton may not have an easy time signing Chelsea striker Liam Delap in the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas suspects the London club would like to make a profit on the centre-forward, who they signed for 30million from Ipswich Town last summer, and that may be troublesome for the Toffees.
If the 23-year-old is made available at Stamford Bridge in the coming months, he should undoubtedly be a target for the Merseyside outfit.
David Moyes needs transfers at Hill Dickinson Stadium to add more depth to the squad, but it remains to be seen what the future holds for the English attacker.

Liam Delap loan deal should be on agenda at Everton
Thomas wonders whether the Toffees could get Delap on loan in the summer, with an option to buy him.
The English striker has failed to live up to expectations at Stamford Bridge, but consistent fitness issues have hampered his season.
Liam Rosenior has relied on Joao Pedro since replacing Enzo Maresca at Chelsea and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the former Ipswich forward leave at the end of the campaign.
It would make sense for the Merseyside outfit to enquire about a possible loan deal for Delap and see whether he can kickstart his career at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Writing in the Liverpool Echo on 18 March, Thomas said, “I suspect Chelsea would like to make a profit if they were to let Delap go and that might be troublesome, but this is a season where it has been clear that Everton need a reliable striker. If they had one, they would almost certainly be above Chelsea right now.
“Delap is an obvious target for the summer and I wonder if a loan deal that included an option to make it permanent if he settles would be on the table. I like Delap. Moyes likes Delap. I think he would like Everton.”
David Moyes the prefect manager for Liam Delap
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has thrived under Moyes after moving to Everton from Chelsea last summer.
The Toffees should use the English midfielder’s success to entice Delap to Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Scottish manager surely capable of bringing the best out of the centre-forward in Merseyside.

In nine Premier League starts for the London club this season, the young striker has scored one goal, averaging 38 minutes per game.
Dewsbury-Hall has managed to kickstart his career at the Toffees and the former Ipswich attacker should take that as an example of what he could possibly achieve in L4.
