Everton could land the signing of Cesare Casadei for just £13million, with Chelsea maintaining eyes on the Torino midfielder’s future.

The Blues will be looking to strengthen their squad ahead of next season with a potential European campaign on the horizon.

Idrissa Gana Gueye, while he has been impressive this campaign, is not getting any younger at 36 years old, making future planning in the midfield imperative.

Casadei is a player that has previous experience in the English football pyramid, having been at Leicester City, Reading and Chelsea over the years.

Due to that, an Everton move for the Italian is an attractive idea, and the Toffees have learned how they could bring him to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

What has been said about Cesare Casadei’s price amid Everton interest?

Casadei is a midfielder that is attracting plenty of attention ahead of the summer window, “with Everton and West Ham in the background” over a potential move.

That is according to Tuttomercatoweb in Italy, who have reported on the Toffees’ interest in the midfielder.

The Italian outlet state: “To tempt Torino into selling Casadei, in any case, an offer of between €15 and €18m (£13m and £15.5m) will be needed.”

Additionally, fellow Premier League side Chelsea will be keeping a keen eye on any negotiations for their former midfielder.

That is because the London side retain a 27.5 per cent sell-on clause after allowing Casadei to depart for the Turin club in the 2025 winter window.

The Toffees have been scouting the Italian over the last few weeks, with Everton representatives flying out to watch Casadei for Torino.

How has Casadei been performing this season for Torino?

This season for Torino, Casadei has netted four goals in the Serie A, with all of those strikes coming in his last 10 appearances in all competitions for the Turin club.

In the 29 available top-flight Italian games, the former Chelsea man has started just 16 of those matches.

When on the ball, the 23-year-old is not exactly safe in possession, having just a 76 per cent passing accuracy in Serie A this season.

However, at 6’4″, the Italian could be suited to another stint in England, with Casadei quite proficient in his aerial duels. He has won 68 per cent of those battles.

With the style of play in the Premier League a lot more physical than Serie A, that could very well be a key trait for Moyes’ side.
