Jordan Pickford’s influence at Everton has been highlighted further, with no other Premier League goalkeeper preventing more goals than him.

The Toffees are hoping to qualify for European football, and if they do, Pickford should be one of the first to be recognised for that achievement.

Under David Moyes and with the help of the goalkeeper, Everton have the third-best defence in the Premier League.

They have conceded 35 goals in 31 matches, a total only bettered by Arsenal and Manchester City.

Now, statistically, it would have been a lot more without Pickford after a new reveal following Everton’s 3-0 win against Chelsea.

How many goals has Jordan Pickford prevented for Everton?

Pickford is one of Everton’s most important players, and the data continues to back that up via Sofascore.

This season, no Premier League goalkeeper has prevented more goals than Pickford’s total of 5.13. Dean Henderson comes the closest with 4.4.

Recently, the 32-year-old was at fault for Everton’s loss against Arsenal after failing to deal with a cross. However, Pickford bounced back against Chelsea.

While occasional errors are inevitable for any goalkeeper, his ability to remain consistently as one of the top shot-stoppers in England makes him an indispensable figure at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

In the 2024-2025 season, the Everton number one also topped the goals prevented tally with 6.15.

Jordan Pickford reaches new Everton milestone

While Pickford will be delighted that he is stopping more goals than any other goalkeeper, he will also relish in his latest milestone at Everton.

As the Toffees beat Chelsea 3-0, his clean sheet marked a century for him in the Everton shirt.

When it comes to having the most clean sheets for an Everton keeper, the Englishman is still a long way off.

Neville Southall remains top of that list with 269. However, with a few more seasons under his belt in Liverpool, Pickford could go into third.

Currently ahead of him are Ted Sagar (120), Tim Howard (133) and Gordon West (155).

He is currently contracted until 2029, which means at least three more seasons with the Toffees. At the end of his career, Pickford’s status as an Everton legend could very well be secured.
