Everton scouts share positive Sorba Thomas reviews as transfer eyed
Everton scouts are understood to have shared positive reviews on Stoke City winger Sorba Thomas.
The Blues are looking for attacking reinforcements for the summer transfer window, and the Welshman fits the bill.
A report from the Daily Mail on 23 March claimed that David Moyes’ side are monitoring the 27-year-old star, and feedback from scouts has been good.
Everton need more firepower if they get into Europe, and Thomas has notched 10 goals and nine assists so far this season.

Everton target Sorba Thomas described as ‘incredible’
Tyler Dilbing and Tyrique George have failed to impress on the wings for Everton, so the fact that they are eying a new winger makes sense.
Thomas would be a brilliant addition, as he is battle-tested in the Championship, which is one of the toughest divisions in football.
| Thomas’ stats this season | Championship |
| Matches | 38 |
| Goals | 10 |
| Assists | 9 |
| Expected goals | 4.61 |
| Chances created | 75 |
| Minutes played | 3,291 |
Stoke manager Mark Robins was full of praise for his star man after a 3-0 win over Charlton in November 2025, as he scored from two crosses.
Speaking after the contest, he said: “Sorba deserves all the credit for taking an incredible shot from wide on the left that found the top corner.
“Whether it’s a cross or a shot doesn’t make any difference, it’s in the net, which gave us a really good start to the game.
“He’s been fantastic, and long may it continue.”
Everton fans can watch Thomas in action this week
Everton supporters can watch their newest target in action when Wales face Bosnia and Herzegovina in their World Cup play-off semi-final at the Cardiff City Stadium.
That clash kicks off at 7:45 pm on 26 March, and is available to watch on either BBC Two or BBC One Wales.
Thomas will not be worried about potential transfer interest from the Toffees or any other club at the minute, his full focus will on helping his nation get to the most prestigious tournament in international football.
What kind of player is Thomas?
Thomas is right-footed and can play as a right winger or wing-back, and he is known for his high energy and ability to track back, which will fit right in at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
His pace and physicality will be a problem for Premier League defences, if he makes the move to the Blues but there is much more to his game.
He also has a top-quality set-piece delivery and can also deliver pinpoint crosses from open play, and he creates a lot of chances.
He would likely represent a bargain transfer, compared to the kind of fees that Moyes’ side could be charged if they shop in Europe for a similar player.
