David Moyes’ Everton to-do list over international break, including resolving Thierno Barry debacle
David Moyes has plenty of work to do at Everton over the international break.
The 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday has moved the Toffees up to eighth place in the table, and fans are dreaming of qualifying for Europe for the first time since 2016-17.
They are now just three points off fifth-placed Liverpool, and Moyes has done a fantastic job to get his side into this position after 31 games.
Although Everton are fighting for European football, the Scottish head coach still has some issues to address, particularly with what’s happened to Thierno Barry in the last two weeks.

David Moyes has to boost Thierno Barry’s morale
There was a huge problem when Everton lost 2-0 at the Emirates earlier in March, as Barry’s friends were accused of celebrating Arsenal’s late goals, despite being in the away end.
This prompted ugly scenes where his friends were attacked by Everton fans, with the Frenchman then speaking out against the violence on Instagram after the match.
And when Barry came on as a substitute in Everton’s win over Chelsea, some Blues fans booed him, before he headed straight down the tunnel after the full-time whistle.

According to Sofascore, Barry has only had 32 shots in 31 appearances this season, which shows he needs to do a lot more on the pitch, let alone off it.
The Scottish head coach has to get the young striker back on board with the project, as it has become one of the major talking points over the past fortnight.

A lot will have to be done before Barry can prove his worth to the fans, but Moyes must also take note of what’s happened to Tyler Dibling in recent weeks.
Tyler Dibling is struggling from a lack of game time
Dibling watched on from the bench as Everton thrashed Chelsea, which marked the 10th successive game he hasn’t started.
After recording six goal involvements for Southampton last season, fans were incredibly excited to see the youngster in action for Everton, but the move hasn’t panned out.
There has been a general lack of chances for Dibling to shine on Merseyside this season, which means he hasn’t impressed Moyes in training.
If Everton were to play in Europe next season, it could allow them to recruit a better option out wide, meaning his chances of starting are reduced.
Should that be the case, it would be best for the 20-year-old to leave temporarily in search of more minutes.

It’s safe to say Moyes doesn’t trust him, but with the Toffees spending so much money on Dibling, he can’t afford to let his potential go to waste.
Moyes needs to get more out of Dwight McNeil
It’s hard to find many players who aren’t performing excellently right now, but McNeil could certainly offer more to Everton.
That’s not to say that McNeil has played badly in recent weeks, but it’s clear that the Toffees aren’t as strong on the right-hand side.
If Moyes can find a way to get the 26-year-old to start chipping in with assists and goals, then Everton would have a very effective front four.
While this isn’t an immediate priority, McNeil’s goalscoring woes could prove to be costly during the run-in.
