Everton: Beto can wait, David Moyes has Michael Keane contract priority
Everton must keep Michael Keane after his performance against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
The English centre-back was solid alongside James Tarkowski at Hill Dickinson Stadium as David Moyes got the better of Liam Rosenior on 21 March.
Beto scored a brace and Iliman Ndiaye added a third for the Toffees in the 3-0 victory, boosting hopes of qualifying for a European competition.
Keane’s current contract at Hill Dickinson Stadium expires at the end of the season, and while the Merseyside outfit clearly need to hold discussions with several players over new deals, the defender’s renewal should be a priority.

Everton should turn focus to Michael Keane contract renewal
Beto is being linked to Fenerbahce after apparently rejecting a contract offer from the Toffees.
The Guinea-Bissau striker will enter the final year of his deal in the summer and it would make sense for the Blues to extend his stay after some impressive displays in recent weeks.
While the former Udinese forward stood out against Chelsea, Keane was solid throughout and has been influential for the Merseyside outfit this season.
In Jarrad Branthwaite’s absence, the 33-year-old has ensured fans in L4 haven’t felt the lack of quality at the back.

Keane has also been more reliable than the young Englishman, who has had his fair share of fitness issues in recent seasons.
Talks with Beto over fresh terms can wait and the veteran centre-back’s renewal should be one of Moyes’ demands from The Friedkin Group in the coming months.
Who else should be offered a new contract at Hill Dickinson Stadium?
Idrissa Gueye will also be a free agent in the summer as things stand, but Everton would be foolish not to keep him on a short-term deal.
The Senegal international has been pivotal to the Toffees’ success under Moyes and has recently shown he still has a lot to offer at the top level.
As for Seamus Coleman, he should probably retire and become a part of the Scottish manager’s backroom staff for the 2026-27 campaign.
The Merseyside outfit have made clear progress in the last year, and it’s now up to TFG to keep hold of the important players in L4 for the foreseeable future.
