Everton brutally savage Chelsea ace Alejandro Garnacho in social media video
Everton brutally mocked Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho in a video posted on TikTok.
Garnacho struggled – as did pretty much every one of Chelsea’s players – as Everton ran out 3-0 winners on Saturday.
The Argentina international was not given a moment on the ball by direct opponent Jake O’Brien down Everton’s right.
Everton’s fans took particular delight in O’Brien regularly winning their one-on-one battles as the Toffees kept another clean sheet.
The dust has now settled on Everton’s win over Chelsea, but that did not stop the Merseyside club’s social media team taking a pop at Garnacho.

Everton take delight in Alejandro Garnacho’s Chelsea struggles
Garnacho has not made the biggest of impacts at Chelsea since arriving from Manchester United last summer.
He has scored just once, while assisting four times, in 20 Premier League appearances.

|---|---|---|

And after the 21-year-old particularly struggled at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton’s social media team posted a clip of Garnacho constantly being bullied off the ball.
Not only that, footage was also shared of Garnacho seemingly calling for O’Brien to be booked – or even sent off – for a perceived elbow, which only led to him himself being cautioned by referee Sam Barrott.

The clip, which had the caption “Not everything is nice at Hill Dickinson Stadium”, was posted on Tuesday evening and had already accrued close to 45,000 ‘likes’ by Wednesday morning.
Indeed, many of those commenting on the video took delight in O’Brien coming out on top in that personal battle.
Only three Everton players have been used more this season
David Moyes has his favourites at Everton, of which O’Brien is very much one of them.
The versatile defender has played a total of 2,549 minutes for Everton in the Premier League this season.

That is a tally only James Tarkowski (2,700), James Garner (2,784) and Jordan Pickford (2,790) can better.
It is not surprising that four of Everton’s most-used five players this season – Vitalii Mykolenko is fifth with 2,331 minutes – have been defenders and the goalkeeper.
Had Jarrad Branthwaite been fit in the first half of the campaign, he likely would have been on that list as well.
The defence has certainly stood up this term and helped the Toffees in their quest to land European football, with O’Brien playing as big a part as anyone at Everton.
