Tyler Dibling contract latest as Everton told sale could be on

Tyler Dibling’s Everton future is set to come under the microscope this summer.

The Blues signed the winger in a £40million deal from Southampton in August 2025, but he has struggled at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Dibling has made just 18 appearances since joining the Merseysiders, and has failed to score or assist in those matches.

Everton have been told that a sale must be on the cards when the transfer reopens, after his miserable start in L4.

What has been said about Dibling’s Everton future?

Former Everton scout Bryan King believes that the move for Dibling was a mistake, and a sale is the only outcome.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, he said: “The only thing I can see happening is that he is sold in the summer because I can’t see any future for him at Everton.

“There has been a mistake made here, and I imagine he’ll be moving on.”

That does not bode well for the 20-year-old, but his contract situation may make a move more complicated than King claims.

What is Dibling’s contract situation with Everton?

Dibling signed a four-year contract when he joined the Toffees, so his future may be secure despite his disappointing start.

He is tied down until 2029 at the very least, unless the Blues decide to sell him and move on from the talented Englishman.

The recruitment staff could surely demand a fee similar to the one that they paid, considering the length of his deal.

What has David Moyes said about his future?

David Moyes is clearly willing to give the young attacker time to develop, and it does not seem like he is in a rush to make a judgment over his future.

The Scotsman has urged for supporters to be patient with the England Under-21 ace, as he adjusts to his new surroundings.

Speaking ahead of the clash with Manchester United in February, he said: “I think he’s one who we think we’ve got a really good, talented player on our hands. We need him to develop and get used to us a little bit.”

That suggests that Moyes is not ready to give up on him yet.

Has Dibling really been that bad?

Dibling has played 14 times in the league, with just four starts, for a total of 371 minutes so far this season, per Sofascore.

He is averaging 0.3 shots per game and 0.3 key passes, suggesting that his influence is extremely limited when he does get on the pitch.

He is composed with the ball, completing 86 per cent of his passes and losing possession 4.2 times per game.

The forward has completed 0.9 dribbles, for a 48 per cent success rate and is fouled 0.8 times per game, which are slightly more encouraging numbers.

Overall, it is a complicated picture for Moyes and Co., but the youngster must be given the chance to develop before he is completely written off.
