Max Dowman sends love to Everton ace Harrison Armstrong after England U19s win
Max Dowman sent a message to Everton‘s Harrison Armstrong on social media after England Under-19s’ latest victory.
Arsenal sensation Dowman and Everton gem Armstrong are both part of the Young Lions’ squad for this month’s fixtures.
England followed up a 2-0 defeat to Serbia with a 1-0 win over Poland, with a clash against Croatia still to come on Tuesday.
Armstrong has played both of those previous fixtures, while Dowman was used in the first of them.
The pair were on opposite sides when Everton met Arsenal recently, but their was clearly no love lost between them.

Max Dowman reacts to Harrison Armstrong social media post
Armstrong made his seventh and eighth appearances for England Under-19s over the past week and is surely not far off a call-up to the U21s.
The same is true of Dowman, who recently made history with Arsenal as he became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history.
Harrison Armstrong’s Premier League stats for Everton in 2025-26:
| Armstrong’s stats for Everton this season | Premier League |
| Matches | 11 |
| Started | 6 |
| Goals/Assists | 0/0 |
| Pass accuracy | 79% |
| Balls recovered per game | 2.3 |
| Tackles per game | 1.2 |
| Ground duels won | 56% |
| Aerial duels won | 46% |
On the back of England’s win over Poland, Armstrong posted an image on social media on Monday evening showing him in action – and sporting the captain’s armband.
A number of colleagues commented, including Dowman, who posted a love heart emoji.
Lewis Dobbin replied with “skipppppoo”, referencing the fact that Armstrong was skipper.

Armstrong has played 30 times at club level this season, including 13 appearances for Everton either side of his loan spell at Preston North End.
What does the future hold for Armstrong at Everton?
Armstrong has not started Everton’s past four matches, while he has played just 13 minutes in total across those games.
Still, the fact he was recalled from Preston by Everton in the winter window and has been used semi-regularly by David Moyes shows he is highly regarded.
The 19-year-old is under contract at Hill Dickinson Stadium for another couple of years, plus the option of a further 12 months, and undoubtedly has a future on Merseyside.
However, another loan move next season could make sense for both Everton and Armstrong.

That is depending on who is recruited over the summer. Ideally Armstrong will be used here and there, but ultimately his long-term development is what matters most.
A move to a Premier League side for the season could be an option, but that is only if other players are brought in.
For now, Armstrong will just continue to try to make the most of his first-team chances when they arise.
