Abdul Fatawu is on Everton’s radar ahead of the summer window, and David Moyes would surely have been watching on as the winger scored against Germany.

The Blues are charging towards European football, and if that is the case, they will need to not only add more quality to maintain their position but also increase their depth.

Adding additional attackers is the priority for the Hill Dickinson club, who have struggled to score at times this campaign.

Moyes’ side have scored just 37 goals in 31 matches this season, putting them in 13th place for goals scored.

It is an area that could clearly be improved, and Everton transfer target Fatawu has now proved he can do it at a high level.

How did Abdul Fatawu fare against Germany

Everton could land the signing of Fatawu for £20million as Moyes gears up to strengthen his squad next summer.

The winger has been pivotal for Leicester City this season, although the Foxes do face relegation this season from the Championship.

However, now the winger has taken his talents from the second tier and translated them against one of Europe’s strongest sides in Germany.

Against Germany, Fatawu did not have much time to influence the game, and Ghana had little of the ball too.

The Leicester City winger took just nine touches in his 18-minute cameo. However, he did manage to change the game.

Fatawu scored the equalising goal but unfortunately would end up on the losing side as Deniz Undav struck in the 88th minute.

Nonetheless, his cameo will be a positive for Everton’s recruitment team, who have now seen him make an impact against a top side.

What is Leicester City’s relegation status?

Everton’s potential move for Fatawu could depend on if the Foxes get relegated. The winger has a £30m release clause.

If Leicester fall to League One, Moyes could end up striking even more of a bargain for the 22-year-old Ghanaian.

As it stands, the former Premier League champions are in line to go down, sitting in 23rd on 39 points. The Foxes have been deducted six points already.

Above them is Portsmouth, who have a one-point buffer but also have a game in hand.

With just seven games left for Leicester, their status in the Championship is not looking too great, which could benefit Everton.
