Everton interest in Christian Kofane confirmed as agent shares mammoth £87m valuation
Everton are tracking Bayer Leverkusen striker Christian Kofane, with his agent confirming the interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Blues will likely be in the market for a new striker, with both Beto and Thierno Barry failing to earn much fanfare this campaign.
David Moyes has the Toffees fighting for the European places, in spite of his forward struggles this season.
However, if Everton do qualify for Europe, the Scotsman will want to repeat the trick next season, and that could be made easier with better goalscorers.
Now, Everton’s transfer window could include the signing of Kofane, with the Merseyside club also told how much he could cost.

What has Christian Kofane’s agent said about Everton’s interest?
With the season coming to a close within the next seven weeks, the transfer links are starting to emerge on a more frequent basis.
It is only natural that Everton would start putting feelers out on any potential centre-forward signing based on their current options this season. It now appears Kofane is one of those targets according to his agent Eric Depolo.
| Statistic | Beto | Thierno Barry |
| xG | 7.17 | 6.14 |

Speaking to Daily Arsenal, Depolo confirmed that Everton are one of a number of clubs tracking the Cameroonian striker.
Depolo stated Arsenal are currently in pole position to sign his client but that “Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton, Brentford, Barcelona and Bayern Munich” are also among the other interested parties.

With the level and stature of the clubs mentioned, the Toffees may need to confirm European football to make a move to Hill Dickinson look more attractive to Kofane and, at that, even possible.
However, the cost of the deal could also put the Friedkin Group off from launching a bid.
How much would Christian Kofane cost Everton?
Everton would likely have to fork out a record transfer fee to sign the 19-year-old forward, with his agent suggesting the player is worth €100 million (£87million).
His estimation may be slightly overexaggerated in order to boost his client’s profile, but the Cameroon forward is still valued quite highly.
According to the CIES Football Observatory, Kofane’s fair market value lies between £65m and £76m.
Meanwhile, Transfermarkt has him estimated at £35m. So there could certainly be room for negotiation on Everton’s part, but nonetheless, the fees involved would be quite high.
Beto looks on his way out at Everton, and Kofane would present a younger and potentially better option for the future.
While a deal could be difficult, perhaps Everton could use their past connection to Samuel Eto’o to convince his fellow countryman that the Toffees are the right move for him.
