Jordan Pickford: Mark Schwarzer slams Everton goalkeeper after rash moment vs Brentford
Jordan Pickford conceded a stonewall penalty as Everton conceded early against Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Kevin Schade was played through on goal and found himself one-on-one with the English shot-stopper at the Gtech Community Stadium on 11 April in the second minute and was subsequently brought down.
Former Chelsea and Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer slammed the 32-year-old for his decision-making after coming out rashly to stop the Bees’ forward.
The Toffees seemed to switch off early on and were punished for the error, with no question as Farai Hallam pointed to the spot.
David Moyes’s team went behind early against Brentford and the Scottish manager must surely be livid with the manner in which the situation unfolded.

Jordan Pickford let down by teammates as Everton conceded vs Brentford
It looked like the Toffees’ defence went to sleep as Schade ran in behind an unsuspecting Vitalii Mykolenko, leaving Pickford with a tough choice.
It’s safe to say the goalkeeper was forced into a tough spot and made a mistake, something he usually hasn’t done in the current campaign.

The backline have to take some responsibility for leaving the English shot-stopper exposed, making life difficult for the Blues for the rest of the game.
Pickford has been outstanding for the Merseyside outfit this season, but a slight lapse in judgement left them in a difficult situation in West London before Beto found the back of the net in the 27th minute.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live on 11 April, Schwarzer said, “Everton were in slow motion. Schade was played through and it looked like they weren’t aware of the danger. Pickford comes out rashly, outstretched foot and catches the forward. No question that it’s a penalty.”
David Moyes to solidify result with one substitution
Keane has been dropped to the bench by Moyes at the Gtech Community Stadium, which he will surely feel hard done by.

The 33-year-old has been brilliant at the back for Everton this season and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Scottish manager bring him on in the second half to shore up the defence.
Mykolenko hasn’t been at his best and the Blues have played Branthwaite at left-back on a few occasions in the current campaign.
The Merseysiders have shown great fighting spirit in the opening 45 minutes in West London and the travelling supporters will hope for more of the same after the break.
