Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall joins mighty Everton company amid Thomas Tuchel reminder
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has joined a select list of former Everton players to achieve 10 goal contributions in the Premier League in his opening campaign for the club.
Everton twice came from behind to secure a vital point at fellow European contenders Brentford in a 2-2 draw at Gtech Community Stadium.
Igor Thiago put the hosts ahead in the third minute from the spot on Saturday, before Beto drew the visitors level.
Thiago scored a fortuitous deflected second 14 minutes before time but Dewsbury-Hall grabbed a crucial equaliser in the 91st minute.
Summer signing Dewsbury-Hall is having an impressive opening season at Everton; something England boss Thomas Tuchel should, arguably, keep an eye on ahead of this summer’s World Cup.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s stock keeps rising
A few eyebrows were raised when Everton forked out around £29million to sign the midfielder from Chelsea last summer but he has proven to be an excellent recruit.
In fact, the 27-year-old is in with a shout of being Everton’s best player this season, although Jordan Pickford may give him a run for his money.
| Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the Premier League | Goals/assists/games |
| Leicester City (2021-23) | Three/four/59 |
| Chelsea (2024-25) | Zero/one/13 |
| Everton (2025-26) | Seven/five/25 |
According to Sofascore, Dewsbury-Hall’s seven league goals have come from an Expected Goals tally of 3.68. He has created eight big chances, he averages 4.2 ball recoveries per game, and 1.7 tackles.
His dribble success is at 59 per cent, he has an 83 per cent passing accuracy, which jumps up to 86 in his own half.
Now, according to Aaron Barton of Opta, Dewsbury-Hall has joined a list of players to record 10 or more goal involvements in his first season at Everton in the Premier League.
That list includes club heroes such as Tim Cahill, Yakubu, Wayne Rooney, Peter Beardsley, and Tony Cottee.
Incidentally, Dewsbury-Hall is also Everton’s joint top scorer in the Premier League this season, alongside Beto with seven.
If he keeps this form up, Three Lions manager Tuchel may not be able to ignore him as the 2026 World Cup draws ever nearer.
Everton’s remaining fixtures analysed
After a tough test against seventh-placed Brentford, next up, Everton host bitter rivals Liverpool for the first Merseyside derby at Hill Dickinson Stadium next Sunday.
Everton are level on points with Brentford in eighth and are in good position to try and qualify for Europe for the first time since 2018.
But Brighton are just one point behind in ninth, and Bournemouth in 10th are two points back. Chelsea are just one point ahead in sixth but have a game in hand.
| Everton’s final fixtures | League position |
| Everton vs Liverpool | Fifth |
| West Ham vs Everton | 17th |
| Everton vs Man City | Second |
| Crystal Palace vs Everton | 14th |
| Everton vs Sunderland | 12th |
| Tottenham vs Everton | 18th |
Everton have a varied run-in, with games against relegation-threatened West Ham and Tottenham, in addition to Premier League title hopefuls Manchester City.
With six games to go, this looks to be going down to the wire.
