Jarrad Branthwaite worst-case scenario emerges as Everton defender faces 2025-26 repeat
Jarrad Branthwaite has picked up yet another injury at Everton.
The Englishman had finally started to pick up some rhythm after finally returning to full fitness in late January.
His pre-season problem had left him out for around five months, but the centre-back went on to make 10 appearances after his comeback.
That has now been dashed after the 23-year-old was forced off with just three minutes remaining in the Merseyside derby.
Branthwaite looked distraught against Liverpool as he could now be in for yet another frustrating campaign next time around.

Jarrad Branthwaite could miss nine weeks through injury
The defender is one of the brightest prospects in the Blues’ squad right now, and it is so frustrating that his career has been hampered so much by injury.
Things have only been made worse by just how good he was against Liverpool until he was forced off via stretcher.

Former goalkeeper Bryan King has suggested that a hamstring injury could see Branthwaite face nine weeks in the treatment room as he faces a repeat of this season when struggling to get going.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “That’s been his problem all season, injuries.
“A hamstring injury could be any sort of time frame.
“It will all depend on the seriousness, but it could end up being nine weeks.
“That may be the end of the season and mean he’s recovering through the summer again.
“You don’t want one of your best players to be stretchered off, especially when you want to get into Europe.”

The centre-back has already faced plenty of fitness problems throughout his time with the Blues.
Whether he has been on Merseyside or out on loan, injuries have been a constant, with 11 different issues throughout his career.
His first reported issue came in 2020, when he missed seven games for the Toffees, starting a run that has seen him miss 53 games for the Toffees.
Even during his time away with PSV, he missed seven games on loan, only adding to the frustration surrounding his availability.
The latest issue against Liverpool will only add to that, as he was left visibly distraught as he left the pitch in L3.
