Denis Bouanga holds key to Everton progression as summer deal lined up

Denis Bouanga is a target for Everton ahead of the summer window, as revealed by Goodison News.

Securing European football remains David Moyes‘ priority at Hill Dickinson, though conversations will have already taken place ahead of the summer transfer window.

Bolstering the attack is going to be a key priority for the Toffees, who have already been linked with several players across various positions.

Among those to have been linked is Bouanga, who has had a fine few years in the MLS playing for LAFC.

Everton have ambitions of reaching the next level, and he may hold the key if a deal can be agreed.

What would Denis Bouanga bring to Everton?

Goals, and almost certainly plenty of them.

While the fact that he has been playing in the MLS may be a fair argument, his record for LAFC simply cannot be overlooked or understated.

Bouanga has 110 goals in 167 appearances since moving there in 2022, having managed a total of 52 goal involvements since the start of 2025.

However, his game goes far beyond that, with Bouanga also having completed 98 dribbles in the MLS last season, which was more than any other player in his position.

For comparison, that was only three fewer than Lionel Messi, albeit with the Argentine having a marginally better completion rate.

With 10 goal involvements for LAFC in 15 appearances this season, he has picked up exactly where he left off, which could be key if a move to Everton is to materialise.

Bouanga arrival would spell bad news for one of two Everton stars

The Toffees are certainly lacking quality in the wide areas this season, with Iliman Ndiaye the only reliable option.

Tyler Dibling has been frozen out, Tyrique Gerorge has barely had a chance, and Dwight McNeil has offered very little.

However, if Bouanga were to make the move to Hill Dickinson, one of those three would almost certainly see their careers ended with the Toffees.
