Luciano Spalletti will drive Edon Zhegrova to Everton for £9.9m deal

Luciano Spalletti clearly has no intention of keeping Everton target Edon Zhegrova at Juventus ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

According to Calciomercato on 24 April, the Kosovo international has asked his agents to hold off on any negotiations as he wants to redeem himself in Turin, but the Serie A giants are considering selling him for around £9.9million in the summer.

Spalletti was left infuriated with the 27-year-old winger after his recent cameo against Bologna, with the Italian manager unimpressed with his decision-making.

Zhegrova’s move to Hill Dickinson Stadium is once again being discussed after the Toffees failed to sign him last summer, and the Juventus boss may personally drive him to Merseyside if The Friedkin Group table the right offer.

Dan Friedkin must back David Moyes financially ahead of the 2026-27 campaign and it will be interesting to see whether they find a deal for the Kosovar forward appealing.

Edon Zhegrova to rediscover potential at Everton

Zhegrova has had a tough time since moving to Juventus and has yet to start a Serie A match this season.

It’s clear that Spalletti doesn’t trust the Kosova international and it wouldn’t be surprising to see both parties end their relationship sooner rather than later.

The Toffees are competing for a European spot in the Premier League this season and the forward may have a chance to kickstart his career in Merseyside.

Moyes has revived the careers of Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the current campaign and there’s no reason Zhegrova can’t rediscover the spark at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Zhegrova has mostly played on the right-wing this season and will likely have to compete with Iliman Ndiaye for minutes at Everton.

While displacing the Senegal international from the starting lineup will surely be almost impossible, the Kosovo international shouldn’t worry about his potential game time at the Merseyside outfit as Moyes will undoubtedly want to compete on all fronts next season.

One player who may be looking over his shoulder is Tyler Dibling and he should be looking for a way out if Zhegrova signs for the Blues.

The young Englishman moved to L3 for big money from Southampton last summer, but he needs regular minutes to develop and fulfil his potential, something that doesn’t seem possible at the Toffees.
