Scott McTominay ready to leave Napoli in £40m summer deal – ‘He’s an Everton player’
Scott McTominay could be on his way to Everton when the summer transfer window opens.
The Scotland international has been linked with the Toffees in recent months, but a move could finally materialise in the near future.
That would require him to call time on a massively positive spell with Napoli after sealing a move to Italy in 2024.
Things have certainly gone well for the midfielder at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in two seasons with the Serie A giants.
He could now look towards a Premier League return, with Everton potentially set to make a deal happen for McTominay in the summer.

The former Manchester United man has been able to totally reinvent himself since moving to the continent two years ago.
He has become a true icon in Naples after scoring the goals to inspire the Blues to the Scudetto in his debut campaign.

Despite that, a return to England could be on the cards with a Merseyside switch potentially set to go through in the summer.
Former Everton scout Bryan King believes David Moyes would love to sign McTominay, who may be available for a reasonable fee.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, King said: “He is looking to get back to the Premier League. He’s done his business in Italy now.
“He’s an Everton player; he’s Moyes’ kind of player.
“It would take £40m to get him out of Napoli this summer because it’s coming to the end of his time there.
“He’ll be on the lookout for a new team in the Premier League, so it could be a bright future for him at Everton.”
McTominay has been linked with Everton already, but a move could be edging ever closer with the transfer window now in sight.

Sometimes a player just perfectly suits their environment, and that has certainly been the case for the Scot since joining Napoli.
As good as that may be, being in a different country miles away from home may begin to take its toll the longer it goes on.
That may see him assess new options in the summer, and it’s fair to say that Everton would be a perfect landing destination for him.
He would work perfectly under Moyes, who has always gotten the best out of physical, box-crashing midfielders.
That would make his £40m fee worth every penny, especially after netting 26 goals in two seasons for Napoli.
