Tyler Dibling: Everton forward to hope David Moyes follows Lee Carsley’s footsteps

Tyler Dibling has struggled to convince David Moyes at Everton since his big-money move from Southampton last summer.

The winger has been left wanting for more game time at the Toffees this season, starting just four Premier League matches.

Despite the 20-year-old’s struggles at the Blues, Lee Carsley has shown immense faith in him and the youngster is considered a key part of the England Under-21 manager’s plans.

According to BBC Sport on 4 May, the ex-Saints forward’s talent and attitude are greatly admired by the Three Lions’ youth setup, with the Merseyside outfit still believing in his potential.

Dibling’s future at Hill Dickinson Stadium seems set for now, but the attacker will hope Moyes follows Carsley’s footsteps and starts giving him more opportunities in L3.

Tyler Dibling must be confused at Everton

In the last 10 Premier League matches, Dibling has made just one appearance, coming off the bench in the final seconds of the 2-0 win against Burnley.

At the start of the season, it made sense that Moyes couldn’t give the English prospect much game time because of Iliman Ndiaye and Jack Grealish’s form.

Despite the Manchester City loanee being sidelined with an injury since February and the Senegal international coming back knackered from the Africa Cup of Nations, the former Southampton star hasn’t got into the starting lineup.

The Blues signed Tyrique George on loan in the winter transfer window and Moyes has had more faith in Dibling’s England Under-21 teammate.

David Moyes has decision to make with Tyler Dibling

It doesn’t matter if Everton have high hopes for Dibling as long as Moyes starves him of regular minutes.

If the Scottish manager doesn’t believe the forward is ready to play for the Toffees consistently, then it would be best to send him out on loan.

The English youngster’s development has stagnated at Hill Dickinson Stadium and it wouldn’t be wise to keep him around if this situation continues next season.

Moyes will surely want to add more depth to his attack in the summer, which will surely leave Dibling wondering what the future holds for him.
