Everton positioned above both Juventus and Napoli in latest global power rankings

Everton are one of the biggest clubs in England and are enriched with a steep history in the country.

The Toffees’ fanbase will already know about the size of Everton, but with decades of success falling through their fingers, their scale on a global level has undoubtedly been dwindling.

It has been many years since the days of European finals and league-winning campaigns, and those around during that time will tell countless stories of the feats achieved.

Modern fans will be eager to experience those sorts of highs, and it may not be too far away.

Based on Everton’s performances this season, it appears the Blues are once more nearing the peak of European football with their position in the global power rankings.

Premier League football appears to be a huge deciding factor in the overall rankings, with Everton sat in 10th place. Meanwhile, second-place Serie A side Napoli are ranked below.

Additionally, sister club AS Roma are also below the Merseyside club, coming in at 28th place.

It goes to show just how good of a job that David Moyes is doing since making his return to the L3 outfit. Long may it continue.

Everton could still move higher in the power rankings

Everton could make a push for the top 20 if they begin trending upwards in their hunt for European football.

Champions League football is not entirely out of the question for Everton, who will require Aston Villa to defeat Nottingham Forest in the Europa League tonight.

Sixth place will become a Champions League position should the Villans win the Europa League and finish in fifth place.

Everton Premier League table

As things stand, Everton are four points behind Bournemouth, three behind Brentford and two behind Brighton, who are also vying to finish as high as possible.

If the Merseyside club qualifies for European competition, they will surely be one of the top 20 clubs in world football.

There is also plenty of financial motivation for Everton to qualify for European football too.
