Everton allowed Martin Sherif to depart on loan to Port Vale in January.
The 19-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance for the Toffees, but he certainly made a positive impression through the youth ranks.
After scoring bags of goals for the under-18s and U21s, he was rewarded with a first loan spell in League One with Rotherham United.

What is Martin Sherif’s contract situation at Everton?
The former Netherlands U17 international is certainly a bright prospect on Merseyside and deserves the chance to prove himself in first-team football.
He has scored goals as a professional this season, but it certainly hasn’t been the dream campaign away from L4.

Having scored four goals across his two temporary spells, he now faces an uncertain future as his contract ticks down at Finch Farm.
There will certainly be questions surrounding him right now as his current deal only lasts until the end of May, after penning a three-year deal in 2023.
He only earns a reported £850 per week as part of that, with an annual salary of £31,000, which is very low compared to plenty of players of his age in the Premier League.
Sherif may have to face a hard truth at Everton now, as he has just weeks remaining until his days in blue may be over.
Where could Sherif go in the summer?
It feels as if a new deal at Hill Dickinson Stadium is unlikely after two pretty average loan spells in the third tier.
He really needed to hit the ground running at Rotherham or Port Vale if he was going to truly make his presence known on Merseyside.
That didn’t happen, and now his contract looks likely to end, leaving him without a club moving into the summer window.
There will be many sides interested in his signature due to his experience in League One this season, with a move to League Two or the National League likely to be on the table.
It will certainly be interesting to see where his future lies and whether he could land a surprise new deal with Everton.
