Everton could be forced into the market to replace Mark Travers this summer.
The 27-year-old was signed last summer to play a backup role to Jordan Pickford, who remains the starter, both for the Blues and the England national team.
The Irishman has made just two appearances, both coming in the Carabao Cup, in a win over Mansfield Town and a loss to Wolves.
The Toffees already have issues to sort out, so in an ideal world they would not have to add a number two goalkeeper to the list.
However, that may be the case, and Everton may have to bring in a new man to play second fiddle.

What has been said about Travers’ Everton future?
Travers is reportedly considering an Everton exit, less than 12 months after joining the Hill Dickinson Stadium side, which would force Moyes back into the market.
The Athletic reported in their Toffees squad audit on 21 May that he is expected to leave to play regularly somewhere else.
It states that David Moyes‘ side will have to sign a new number two, which suggests that do not trust Tom King, who was also signed last summer.
Why Travers’ signing was always a weird deal
The deal for Travers was always a bizarre one, it never really made sense at the time it was done.
Pickford is the starter, and he signed a new contract in October that runs until 2029, so there was never really a chance that he would take the starting spot.
Perhaps, there was uncertainty surrounding the former Sunderland man and whether he would agree to fresh terms, but considering his status with the fanbase, that does not seem like a possibility.

Travers is definitely good enough to start elsewhere, but he is not good enough to displace the Three Lions star, and clearly does not have faith that he can overhaul him anytime soon.
He is caught in an interesting dilemma, being at a big club like Everton, on a decent wage, but never really playing meaningful matches.
It makes sense that he would want to move on, as he is still young for a goalkeeper and could bag the starting job elsewhere, but some players would be satisfied with his situation.
