Everton to keep an eye on Stuttgart final after Jamie Leweling update
Everton will be keeping a keen eye on Saturday’s DFB-Pokal final over in Germany, as VfB Stuttgart take on Bayern Munich.
This week, reports from Sky Germany outlined that the Toffees are among a handful of clubs interested in Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling.
The 25-year-old has played an integral role as the South German giants have returned to the Champions League – earning a spot in Julian Nagelsmann’s World Cup squad as a result.
A deal could prove tricky, with a £35million bid from Bournemouth turned down in January, with the Cherries listed alongside Roma and David Moyes’ side as interested.
And as the German season comes to a close, Everton will be able to get one final glimpse of Leweling before he heads off to the World Cup.

Clubs are right to be interested in Jamie Leweling this summer
Leweling’s successful 2023 loan from Union Berlin helped Stuttgart return to the Champions League.
He has since improved further, with Stuttgart again securing a Champions League place and targeting another DFB-Pokal title this season.
| Jamie Leweling 2025-26 Bundesliga stats | |
| Appearances | 32 |
| Goals | 7 |
| Assists | 9 |
| Chances created | 40 |
| Successful crosses | 31 |
| Successful dribbles | 31 |

Stylistically, Leweling plays with a strong bias toward taking opponents on, a trait that has been clear since he arrived in 2023.
Yet under Sebastian Hoeness, his sense for creating chances and his judgement about when to drive at defenders have developed markedly.
Even in matches where he doesn’t register a goal or an assist, he remains a constant danger, regularly forcing opponents to send extra cover to deal with him on the flank.

On Saturday, Stuttgart take on Southern rivals Bayern Munich in Berlin, as they see out what have been sensational seasons for both sides.
With Bayern likely to dominate the ball, wideman Leweling could be used in a more similar role to what could be seen at Everton.
Using his blistering pace on the counterattack, the 25-year-old is likely to be the man Hoeness looks out for in the final third.
Where can Everton fans watch DFB-Pokal final?
Naturally, Blues fans may be looking to catch a glimpse of the potential summer target.
Despite the Bundesliga rights being split among BBC, Sky and Amazon in the UK, the DFB-Pokal is held by Premier Sports, which will provide its usual coverage of the competition.
Alongside this, there is a free option online, with the German FA providing the same coverage through the DFB-Play website – accessible for free with an account.
Before Everton’s season comes to a close against Tottenham on Sunday, fans may look to take a closer look at the reported target in Leweling.
Kick-off in Berlin is at 7 pm in the UK, offering some Saturday night viewing after the playoff final between Middlesbrough and Hull.
