Braiden Graham can show David Moyes he’s ready for Everton debut after Northern Ireland call-up

Braiden Graham is emerging as one of Everton’s hottest prospects in their academy, but the young talent has yet to get his maiden bow in senior football in England.

Everton brought the Northern Irishman over to Merseyside from Linfield in July 2024 and, just months later in November, signed his first professional contract.

His progression has certainly been exciting, and after scoring 22 goals in 38 games for Everton’s under-21s, the logical thing is for talk over his future in the first team to begin.

With the Blues amid a battle for European football, the situation never really aligned for David Moyes to bestow his trust on the youth star.

However, after a new international announcement, Graham could send a clear message to the manager ahead of Everton’s 2026-2027 season.

How Braiden Graham can send clear message to David Moyes at Everton

It is not often that players at youth level receive international call-ups, but Graham’s impressive performances for Everton’s under-21s have caught plenty of attention.

The forward is part of the upcoming Northern Ireland international camp, with fixtures against both Guinea and France looming for the youngster.

If Graham is handed his international debut and performs to a high level, Moyes will be unable to ignore the 18-year-old whenever he begins to draw up his plans for next season.

If he features against France, he will come up against some of the best talent that football has to offer, handing him his first taste of high-level football.

Of course, Graham did play 14 times for Linfield in the Irish League, but the jump in level to the Premier League and against sides such as

Moyes could get the chance to see where the forward is at in his development, with Graham having the chance to show he is ready.

When could Everton fans see Braiden Graham in action for them?

With Graham featuring twice on the Toffees’ bench this season and now receiving his first international call-up, then you would suspect his debut for Everton is not too far away.

Pre-season is the most likely next step for the Northern Irishman, and Moyes must allow him to impress in that first-team environment.

The Blues have yet to announce any of their pre-season plans yet, but those should arrive in due course ahead of July.

Graham must simply be involved in any of the preparation, especially if he performs in these international games. Everton would also do well to offer Graham improved terms ahead of his potential breakout.
