Everton should revive Gabriel Jesus interest as Arsenal exit stance revealed
Everton should have no qualms about revisiting their pursuit of Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus this summer.
The Blues were linked with the Gunners star in the winter transfer window, but ultimately did not make their move.
However, David Moyes‘ side still needs a striker as Beto and Thierno Barry failed to fire the Toffees into a European berth.
Mikel Arteta’s side are unwilling to let Jesus go for cheap, despite his contract expiring next summer, but the Blues should still push for his signature.
Everton are crying out for quality and experience, and he brings both in abundance.

What is Arsenal’s stance on Everton target Jesus?
Jesus would be a brilliant addition for Everton, but the finances that the Premier League champions want may put them off.
| Jesus’ stats this season | Premier League |
| Matches | 14 |
| Goals | 3 |
| Shots on target per 90 | 0.9 |
| Goal per minute ratio | 140 minutes |
| Big chances missed | 6 |
David Ornstein of The Athletic reported on 27 May that they would demand a £20million price tag for the 29-year-old, after multiple clubs enquired about his services.

He stated that the Emirates Stadium side will not sanction a cheap exit before his deal runs out, as their exit stance was revealed.
Why Everton should sign £20m rated Jesus
That price should not put the Merseysiders off their pursuit, he would be an ambitious signing and one that could take the Blues to the next level.
He made 14 top-flight appearances this season, with three goals, but could thrive with a change of scenery, one where he is the main man, which he would be with Moyes’ side.
Jesus is a huge threat, with 79 goals and 45 assists in 243 games in the division, and would also bring significant European experience.
| Jesus’s record in major competitions | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Premier League | 243 | 79 | 45 |
| Champions League | 57 | 26 | 9 |
The Brazilian star has notched 26 goals and nine assists in 57 Champions League matches in his time with the Gunners and Manchester City.
He would be a better option than either Beto or Barry, and the Friedkin Group could do worse than shelling out on the 64-cap international.
Whether they make their long-standing interest into something more concrete remains to be seen, but it would be a smart move, if Jesus can hit the levels that he has previously.
Perhaps, more importantly, the signing would excite supporters at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and get them in the right mood for the new campaign.
