Harry Wilson: Everton could still land transfer of the summer as Fulham agreement ‘now close’
Harry Wilson has been on Everton‘s transfer radar for some time now, and he is set to leave Fulham this summer once his contract expires.
The Toffees want to add forward additions to their frontline for David Moyes, and signing Wilson on a free would be one of the deals of the summer.
Aston Villa were said to be leading the race for the Welshman, but no updates since have given the Blues a new boost in their pursuit of the winger.
Dwight McNeill could leave Hill Dickinson for £20million this summer, and Evertonians would be on the floor if the club managed to replace him with the Fulham star.
However, one final reported hurdle to a summer exit was Wilson’s relationship with his manager Marco Silva, but the Fulham boss may now be leaving himself after recent updates.

Everton get final Harry Wilson green light
Everton have already taken encouragement from Fulham’s plan to replace Wilson, but the Cottagers may have already had this in the works due to knowing that Silva would depart at the end of the season.
That’s because, as reported by WalesOnline in April, the 29-year-old has a strong relationship with Silva, as his manager’s potential departure would have almost certainly forced the player to leave with him, just on separate routes.

Silva is “now close” to joining Benfica, according to Ben Jacobs, as the Fulham boss has met with the hierarchy of the Portuguese giants.
A verbal agreement is edging closer between the Fulham boss and Benfica for him to return to his native homeland of Portugal, which would give Wilson the added incentive to leave for good.
We have seen how much of an impact Moyes can have on players; just look at how Jack Grealish appreciates him.

The Everton boss needs to get on the phone to Wilson as soon as possible, because it still looks like Villa are ahead of the Toffees in the race for his signature right now.
Either way, Everton should have extra confidence that they can pull off this free signing with the news around Silva at Fulham.
This is what David Moyes can offer Wilson over Aston Villa
While it’s clear that Aston Villa pose a big threat to Everton in the competition for Wilson, that does not rule the Blues out of the race whatsoever.
Unai Emery’s side have qualified for the Champions League, and like this season, they will strive for European success next campaign.

However, Emery has clear favourites in his front four with Emi Buendia, Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers, and club captain John McGinn. You have to ask, where would Wilson fit into that front four?
Moyes, on the other hand, could promise the Fulham star the world and more, and offer a crucial role at Hill Dickinson, with the possibility to become a hero by leading the Toffees back into Europe.
