Ricardo Pepi left disappointed by Fulham as door opens for Everton transfer
Ricardo Pepi was heavily linked with a move to Everton.
The Toffees have a lot of work to do this summer in regard to recruitment, but adding more firepower will be a priority.
Both Thierno Barry and Beto have struggled for form for the most part, leaving David Moyes with very few options in terms of goals.
Pepi was linked in January as a potential remedy for that concern, though the chances of a deal seemed dead in the water.
That was until reports emerged stating that Pepi’s move to Fulham seemed unlikely, with the latest updates backing that up even more.

What’s the latest on Ricardo Pepi to Fulham?
Pepi is far from a household name in English football, with most of his reputation gained from his time with PSV.
The USNMT international has 45 goals in 102 appearances for the Dutch side, including 16 goals in 16 starts in the Eredivisie for the season just passed.
| Eredivisie | Pepi |
| Games | 26 |
| Starts | 16 |
| Goals | 16 |
| Chances created | 16 |
| Successful dribbles | 15 |
His potential move to Fulham raised excitement levels at Craven Cottage, but a report from Eindhovens Dagblad, via Voetbal Primeur, states that the deal is now looking all but over.
And even more now than at the time of his broken arm.

Pepi is said to be disappointed with the way Fulham handled the transfer, leaving very little motivation for him to renegotiate a move this summer.
Would Pepi be a good addition for Everton?
Everton have two target-man-style forwards in Barry and Beto, neither of whom are particualry effective at their roles.
Either way, they lack someone to get in behind and offer more with the ball at their feet, which Pepi would change.
He knows where the net is and is able to influence games without scoring, which is what the Toffees have been lacking for years.
Depending on the price, it would make sense for Everton to go back in this summer.
