Everton door opens for Ethan Nwaneri transfer once again as Arsenal set for summer of sales

Everton are set for an important summer, and the arrival of Ethan Nwaneri could be a significant transfer to make.

The Blues have often been linked with the Arsenal man, who has found it tough to break into the starting lineup at the Emirates.

Nwaneri has been tipped to be a star in the world of football, and who is to say he could not become that in the blue strip of Everton?

The Blues are in need of attacking reinforcements, and signing a player who already has Premier League experience would be ideal.

Ahead of the summer window, an update on Nwaneri’s future has emerged, and it could be a transfer of high interest for Everton.

What has been said about Ethan Nwaweri’s future?

With Everton holding historical interest in Nwaneri, it could now be a move that they revisit in the summer. The Toffees are in need of wide attackers, with Dwight McNeil on the shortlist of sellable players and the future of Tyrique George unresolved.

According to The Telegraph “The likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri will be available.”

Nwaneri is still just 19 years old but would arrive with plenty of potential still to come.

During his loan spell at Marseille, despite playing just nine games and being handed three starts, the Englishman averaged a goal or assist every 107 minutes.

Nwaneri was recently nominated for the 2025 Golden Boy Awards, which recognise the top young talent, or ‘wonderkids’, in the world of football. In the end it was awarded to Desire Doue.

Nonetheless, the sheer fact the Arsenal man was nominated goes to show how much quality he has in his locker.

If David Moyes is looking to add youth, pace and hunger to his forward line, going back for Nwaneri makes perfect sense.

What does the future hold for Tyler Dibling if Nwaneri signed?

The arrival of Nwaneri would not spell a good future for Tyler Dibling, who has yet to impress manager Moyes.

Minutes have been far and few between for the young talent, and if another right-winger arrives around his age, it would signal the Toffees’ clear intentions.

A loan move away for Dibling may be the best move for everyone involved, and perhaps the Blues could use him as makeweight to bring another forward in as well.

A step down to the Championship might be right for Dibling’s development, as Everton are also among those chasing Leo Scienza.

Returning to St Mary’s, where Dibling first caught the eye, could help revive his career at Hill Dickinson.
