Injury expert delivers Everton update ahead of Premier League clash v Arsenal
Everton are to be without three players for their Premier League clash against Arsenal on Wednesday evening, according to injury expert, Ben Dinnery.
Dinnery has “ruled out” Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the striker not expected to return until Sunday’s clash against Nottingham Forest (Premier Injuries Website). It’s a similar situation for Nathan Patterson, who sustained a minor setback in training.
Andros Townsend is a long-term absentee and won’t return until the start of April. Midfielder James Garner is also a doubt, with Dinnery rating his chances of playing at “50 per cent”.

Reality check
The weekend defeat against Aston Villa was certainly a reality check. Everton have been impressive at home of late but were punished by Unai Emery’s side, who were coming off a run of three defeats. The result shows that the Toffees must not get too high when they win and too low when they lose.
Leeds looked dead and buried last weekend, but are now out of the relegation zone after beating Southampton at Elland Road. It’s a similar situation for West Ham United, who are now out of the bottom three after beating Nottingham Forest 4-0.

There promises to be a number of twists and turns before the season’s end and Wednesday’s clash against Arsenal could yet provide another. Sean Dyche’s men have recently got the better of the league leaders and will be heading to the capital knowing they’re capable of getting a result.
The Gunners have been imperious at home and it will take a resilient defensive performance from the Toffees if they want to take anything home from North London.
