Everton medical claim shared as Jaden Philogene agreement reached with Hull City

Everton and Aston Villa target Jaden Philogene is unlikely to have any issues clearing his medical, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the knee injury the 22-year-old suffered last season that kept him out for a month was a Grade 2 setback.

It's understood that the Toffees have already reached an agreement for £18million with Hull City, per Sky Sports on 10 July, but the attacker is edging closer to a move to Aston Villa. [Sky Sports, 12 July]

"Based on the days missed, I’d reckon it was a Grade 2 knee injury that kept him out for over a month last season.

"It’s hard to say on recurrence because it really depends on injury specifics and there’s always a risk of something in the future which may not be directly related to this injury.

"It should not cause any issues with his medical as he’s played 90 minutes regularly after that and there’s not understood to be any discomfort."

Everton must attempt a last-gasp hijack for Jaden Philogene

The Toffees must look to hijack his move to Villa Park if they are that serious about securing his services.

However, they face competition from Ipswich Town, who have also had a bid accepted.

It's important that the Merseyside outfit act swiftly, ensuring the 22-year-old's agent and Hull City that they are committed to the deal.

Jaden Philogene is being chased by Everton and several other clubs this summer.

Clear communication and a quick transfer process could give them the edge in this transfer battle.
