Everton will not entertain offers for Manchester United and Tottenham target Jarrad Branthwaite as they've avoided relegation, according to the Evening Standard.

The news outlet reported on 8 May that both sides have the 21-year-old on their shortlist along with Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo and Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi.

Branthwaite, on the other hand, is open to leaving and is understood to be valued at £80million by the Toffees.

Selling Jarrad Branthwaite makes financial sense for Everton

Branthwaite's departure in the summer would undoubtedly impact Sean Dyche's plans for the next season and he would not want to let go of him.

However, the financial benefits of selling him at a valuation of £80million could be critical for Everton's financial stability and future strategic planning.

This substantial sum could help the club adhere to the Premier League's rules, which has been a challenge for them in recent times.

The funds from Branthwaite's sale can be strategically reinvested to strengthen other areas of the team.

This might include investing in promising young talents or experienced players who can fill the void left by Branthwaite, potentially enhancing the overall squad depth and quality.

Additionally, it could help the Toffees address other pressing needs, such as bolstering their attacking or midfield options.

While losing a key player like Branthwaite is never ideal, the financial windfall could offer the club a much-needed lifeline to stabilise their financial situation and facilitate a more competitive squad.
