Everton are one of the most successful teams in English football when it comes to trophies, even if silverware has been hard to come by in recent years.
The Toffees are one of the very few clubs that have never been relegated from the top flight, and have also won a lot more trophies than the majority of other clubs in the country.
Everton have won 24 major trophies in their history, placing them eighth in the country’s all-time ranking, and are one behind Aston Villa and two behind Tottenham.
Here, Goodison News runs you through all the silverware lifted by the Toffees over the years.

Everton league trophies
Everton have never won the Premier League in its current format, but have won the English First Division nine times in their history.
This places them fifth in the country, just one behind Manchester City, who caught up having won four in a row until this season.
Howard Kendall won Everton’s last two titles, and no manager has since been able to replicate his success at Goodison Park.

1995 FA Cup final
Everton’s FA Cup final victory in 1995 was significant for several reasons, not least because it was the last trophy the club has won.
Manager Joe Royle triumphed over Ferguson at Wembley Stadium as his side secured a famous 1-0 victory, with Paul Rideout scoring the only goal of the game in the 30th minute.
United’s team contained the likes of Roy Keane and Mark Hughes, but they could not get past Neville Southall in goal, and Everton came out victorious.
Everton’s other trophies
Everton did win the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1985 as they beat Austrian side Rapid Vienna in the final at Feyenoord’s Stadium in Rotterdam.
Goals from Andy Gray, Trevor Steven and Kevin Sheedy handed Everton a 3-1 victory to win their only European trophy.
Everton have won the Community Shield on nine separate occasions, with their trophy-winning teams clearly continuing with strong momentum heading into the following seasons.
- European Cup Winners’ Cup: 1984/85
- Community Shield: 1928, 1932, 1963, 1970, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1995, 2022
