Ancelotti reveals what he didn’t like from his Everton side in 3-2 win v Watford
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he wasn’t impressed with the spirit his side displayed in the first-half against Watford on Saturday.
Theo Walcott scored the winner at Vicarage Road, as the Toffees secured a memorable 3-2 victory despite having Fabian Delph sent off.

Ancelotti admitted that his side lost too many duels and second balls when they were 2-0 down, but that he was impressed with the way they turned it around in the second half.
“I didn’t like the spirit in the first half, we were 2-0 down and we lost a lot of contact, a lot of duels, a lot of aerial duels a lot of second balls but the second-half was totally different, we had control of the game and I felt we could win if we had 11 vs 11,” he told the ECHO.
The Italian went on to admit that he was not impressed with some of the decisions made by the officials on Saturday.
“But after that, we had to manage the decision of the referee sometimes which, in my opinion, was wrong.”

It was a cracking win in the capital for the Toffees, especially after being behind both on the scoresheet and in terms of numbers on the pitch.
The 3-2 win made sure it was four games unbeaten in the Premier League now. It was deserved as well. Despite having 10 men, the Toffees kept more possession, had more shots and also completed 77 more accurate passes [WhoScored].
It isn’t the problem that is the biggest talking point, but the fact that Ancelotti’s side managed to bounce back and improve to pick up all three points when their backs were against the wall is very impressive.
