'Sad' - These Everton fans react to official injury update
There seems to be a frustrating trend with Everton at the moment, whereby their players find a bit of form and then go down injured.
It happened with winger Theo Walcott recently, with the England international’s surge into form halted by a niggly setback.
The same has now occurred to central midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, who has delivered some of the best performances of his season in recent weeks.
The club announced on its official Twitter account on Friday afternoon that the France international is set for a spell on the sidelines.
The former Manchester United man misses Sunday’s game against his old team having suffered a knee injury against Arsenal last time out.
The 30-year-old has had surgery on the problem, and so it’s expected that he’ll be on the sidelines for a significant stretch.

That’s a real shame, especially as it comes in a position where the Toffees don’t have a whole lot of depth.
It’s something that has aggrieved the supporters, with one saying the ‘sad part’ was that Schneiderlin was just starting to round into form.
