Report – Everton 23y/o keen to push through move to Euro club next season

Everton loanee Jonjoe Kenny is eager to stay at German side Schalke next season, according to Bild

A report from the continental outlet suggests that the Toffees man, who has spent this season over in the Bundesliga, is keen to remain with his current side next term as well, and that Schalke would be interested in snapping him up.

The 23-year-old has registered 26 outings in all competitions this term, scoring one goal in the process.

Bild’s report comes in the aftermath of a piece from the Daily Mail suggesting that both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are keen on landing the full-back.

It is understood that an extended stay on the continent is Kenny’s preferred option, however, although there is no indication that Everton are intent on selling the defender.

What should Everton do with Kenny?

You would be inclined to argue that the Toffees should keep hold of the 23-year-old.

This season has been wonderful for his progression at a senior level, and to speaks volumes that some of Everton’s biggest Premier League rivals are keeping tabs on him.

So far this term, his crossing accuracy has been almost 10% better than Seamus Coleman’s, as per Wyscout, while his dribble success rate and ball recovery rate are also higher than the Goodison Park veteran.

Even if it’s just in a squad role capacity at first, why wouldn’t you want to bring him back to Merseyside to see how he could develop?
