Report: Everton on red alert as wanted winger switches agents, fee significantly lowered

Everton are on the lookout for a defender and a winger in the summer transfer window, as Carlo Ancelotti starts to mould his side.

The Italian will be looking to transform the Toffees over the summer, as he enters his first window in charge in Merseyside.

The list of names continues to grow, but there has been no movement coming in with Leighton Baines and Marten Stekelenburg already leaving.

The Express has reported that Everton have been alerted to the availability of Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Baily.

The Jamaican international has suffered from plenty of injuries in the past year and is reportedly wanting a switch to the Premier League this summer.

Everton scouted the winger in the DFB Cup final, and also in the Europa League clash against Rangers through the week.

On top of that, Bailey has also recently changed his agent to Aidy Ward and could now be worth anywhere from £20million-£30million.

With question marks over the future of Bernard, Bailey could be the perfect addition at Goodison Park and would bring pure pace out wide.

The 23-year-old only made 22 appearances in the Bundesliga but still managed to be involved in eight goals - not bad.

He did also pick up two red cards so his disciplinary record may come under questioning, but under Ancelotti, we expect that to change should he move.

The Toffees may only have to pay up to £30millon for a player that was valued at over £50million only two years ago, it could be a no-brainer.
