'Makes football easy' - Ancelotti delighted with 'fantastic' Everton star v West Brom

Carlo Ancelotti has heaped praise on Everton playmaker James Rodriguez after the crushing 5-2 victory against West Brom.

The Colombian has enjoyed a fantastic start to life at Goodison Park since arriving from Real Madrid, helping his side pick up six points.

Rodriguez picked up his first goal and assist for the Toffees in the game, and played superbly in his new free-roaming role.

Ancelotti claimed that his marquee signing makes everything look easy, labelling all of his attributes as “fantastic.”

“He makes football easy,” he told the Liverpool ECHO.

“He has started really well and I am happy with him. He still has a fantastic desire to play and loves to play with us.

“His goal was the key goal of the game. It was a fantastic goal and he made fantastic assists.”

Ancelotti has found the perfect blend this season, with his three midfield signings helping his side flourish in the final third.

Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were everywhere on Saturday, and Rodriguez continued to find them with ease when in possession.

In his first two games since arriving, the 29-year-old has attempted four shots on goal and completed seven key passes according to WhoScored.

Ancelotti has found his perfect playmaker, and Rodriguez will be key to any success this season in the Premier League.
