Neymar delivers message to Everton mainstay after POTY award

Everton forward Richarlison has finally recieved his award for the 2019/20 Toffees Player of the Season award.

The Brazilian scored 13 goals and delivered three assists in the final third at Goodison Park, as Everton disappointingly finished in mid-table.

Paris Saint-Germain and Brazilian superstar Neymar was handed the honour of sending Richarlison a message with the award in hand.

Sending the message on Everton’s official Twitter account, Neymar shared his delight to hand his international teammate the award.

“Richarlison, I’m so happy for you,” he said.

“Congratulations for the season. Here it is, your player of the season award for Everton. Congratulations on this achievement, I know you’re the first Brazilian (to win the award).

“I’m very happy for you. I hope you keep on scoring goals, helping your club, your teammates, and you know that I’m always wishing you the best.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin may have stolen the headlines in the opening two Premier League games, scoring four goals, but Richarlison is still shining.

The 23-year-old may not have scored, but he has delivered two assists and has been at the heart of everything positive for the Toffees.

Richarlison has also averaged an impressive SIX shots on goal per game so far according to WhoScored, and he is certainly going to start hitting the back of the net frequently soon.

Carlo Ancelotti is finding the perfect blend in attack at Goodison Park, and that is only benefitting Richarlison and his teammates in the Premier League.
