Barcelona have no intention of selling defender Ronald Araujo to Everton this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish outlet have claimed it would take an "exorbitant" offer to change their mind at the Nou Camp after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Toffees are looking to bring in another defender this summer, with Fabrzio Romano recently sharing a list of their targets online.

The Sky Sports journalist took to his personal Twitter account on Wednesday, and Araujo seemed to be the top target in Merseyside.

"Everton are planning to sign a centre-back in the summer. Araujo is highly appreciated but Barcelona will not sell him. No talks for Demiral, he’s not even a target."

Exorbitant.

Ancelotti wants to young defender, but it appears as though we could be priced out of any possible move.

Barcelona going from not wanting to sell Araujo at all, to potentially opening the door after a big offer is a quick change, and that could move again in the near future.

After Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes all made the move though, there is a clear past of the Spanish giants letting their players move on.

The Premier League has a massive draw, and Araujo could want to make that move at some point in his career, whether we will need European football to make that happen will soon be revealed.

With right-wing our priority in the summer, it is unlikely that huge amounts of money will be available for another defender.
