Kevin Campbell predicts Everton will win in clash v Sheffield United
We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…
Kevin Campbell predicts that Everton will beat Sheffield United at Goodison Park on Sunday evening, describing it an ‘essential’ victory.
The Blues are set to host the already relegated Blades and will be determined to get a result after slumping to a disappointing goalless draw with Aston Villa on Thursday.
The Toffees suffered a major hit to their European ambitions following the dire stalemate, and Carlo Ancelotti will hope that his side still harbour a slim chance if they can overcome Sheffield United.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell could only see this evening’s game going one way, claiming Everton simply must win at Goodison Park.
Campbell said: “You’ve got to be looking at three points, for sure. Carlo will know how essential it is that they capture the three points.

“Obviously Sheffield United are already relegated so they’re going to be playing free, but it’s got to be a win.
“I think it’ll be 2-0 to Everton.”
Drawing with Aston Villa earlier this week was a huge blow to the club’s chances of qualifying for Europe this season, with Sheffield United, Wolves and Manchester City now to come.
City on the final day will understandably prove difficult, but the Blades and Wolves are beatable and Everton must take advantage of their inconsistencies in the Premier League this season.
The Blues have capitulated on a number of occasions this season against ‘beatable’ teams, but they simply can’t afford to do so against Paul Heckingbottom’s side.
