PSG begin negotiations with Raiola over Moise Kean transfer – Report

Paris St. Germain have begun negotiations with Mino Raiola over the transfer of Everton attacker Moise Kean.

The Frenchman who spent this past season on loan at PSG, has impressed Mauricio Pochettino, and per La Stampa, negotiations between the Ligue 1 runners-up and Raiola have been confirmed.

Kean, who was reportedly keen on moving to Juventus [Gazetta], looks set to join PSG permanently should negotiations go smoothly with the player’s agent.

Having joined Everton from Juventus in 2019, Kean was expected to be the next big thing, but has failed to live up to his billing, and two years later, is on his way out of the club.

What could’ve been

There’s no denying the quality the Italian possesses, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out for him at Everton.

The player has shown just how good he can be, and under a coach like Pochettino, he could be a serious talent in the coming few years.

He was also praised by former manager Ancelotti last year who described him a ‘serious boy’ and a ‘great talent’. [Liverpool Echo]

However, with just one Premier League goal for us, he hasn’t done enough to prove why he deserves a chance under the new manager, and the club will be better off cashing in on him, and investing the funds elsewhere.

Per ESPN, Everton will be getting €45m (£39m) from the player’s sale which is good money in today’s market.

We can use that to rope in a quality centre-back and hopefully have a bit left to strengthen on our options out wide to provide depth to what was a depleted squad by the end of the season.

First things first, getting in a new manager is priority and we’re hoping that we complete that quickly and plan for what’s going to be a hectic summer.
