Agent of Nikola Vlasic refuses to rule out Everton return
Former Everton midfielder Nikola Vlasic’s agent has left the door open for his client’s return to Goodison Park after leaving the club two years ago for CSKA Moscow.
He said, “Everton has not contacted me about Nikola, and this is not a question at the moment. But who knows what the future holds. Everything is possible.”
No turning back the clock
There has been no formal contact between the player’s representatives at the club thus far, and the interest to do a deal is only coming from Vlasic’s camp.
It’s possible that they’re aware that Everton are looking for midfield options this summer, and are putting the word out just in case the club are open to doing a deal.
Vlasic has done well this past season scoring 14 goals and assisting seven times in 40 games for club and country.
His performances have put him in contention for a regular role in the Croatia national team.
However, he’s currently valued at £30m by the Russian club [Soccer], and if we are to shell out that kind of money, there are better players available in the market.
There are also no guarantees of him succeeding in England as it’s a completely different ball game in Russia.
We’ve first got to sort out our managerial situation and then go for a player that fits into his style of play.
The 23-year-old could use the Euros as the opportunity to prove his worth in England when Croatia square off against the Three Lions, but we don’t think it’s in our best interests to pursue his signing.
