Kevin Campbell: Everton must make move to sign ‘Incredible’ Pedro Neto

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Kevin Campbell has urged Everton to make their move for Wolves star Pedro Neto in the summer window.

Nuno Espirito Santo is close to taking charge at Goodison Park, and it has been reported that this winger could follow him from Molineux.

Campbell labelled the young winger as “incredible” but did admit that plenty of teams could be interested in a move.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Campbell said, “Great age, great player.

“Incredible left foot. Could I see that happening? I’d love to see it happen because he carries the threat, he’s direct and he knows where the goal is.

“It could help any team. If he did come on the market, though, there would be a lot of teams interested, Neto is a super player.”

Incredible.

The Athletic has reported this week that Wolves will need to sell players in order to buy this summer, and named Neto and Ruben Neves as two options.

Neto has to be at the top of the list for many Premier League sides, especially given that it could be a cut-price deal.

The 21-year-old scored five goals and added six assists in his 30 appearances, and that was in a shocking season this year.

Campbell is spot on, there will be huge competition.

Nuno potentially taking charge of the Blues this week could be a huge factor in any move for Neto, and it could swing it in our favour.

Fingers crossed.
