Report: Everton tracking Inter Milan youngster Martin Satriano

Everton have been tracking Inter Milan youngster Martin Satriano, according to The Daily Mail.

The report states that the Toffees aren’t the only team keen on signing him, with the likes of West Ham, Tottenham and Arsenal all keen on securing his services.

Having scored 14 goals and setting up another eight in 25 Primavera 1 appearances last season, he’s found himself on the radar of some of England’s top clubs and could be in line for a move this summer.

Inter Milan’s financial situation is well documented and due to their lack of funds to strengthen they parted ways with Antonio Conte, and could be offloading some players too, with Satriano likely to be one.

Good young option

While we may not be needing a striker this summer, signing a 20-year-old with a high ceiling is not something we’re going to say no to.

He’s proven himself at the youth level and won the Player of the Year award there which is a good indicator that he may have outgrown that level.

He’s yet to make his senior bow with Inter Milan but has made it to their matchday squad on three different occasions in the Serie A last season.

In February, he told Daily Mail that he was flattered by the interest shown in him by Premier League clubs, and four months later he could be subject to a transfer offer from one of them.

Hopefully, we try to pursue the player as he would be a vital addition to our U-23s and could be given some minutes off the bench should the manager be impressed with his performances for the reserves.

He joined Inter for a £2million deal back in January 2020, and if the Italians are to sell him he’s probably going to cost eight figures this summer.
