Philippe Coutinho's agent desperate to find the Brazilian a new club amid interest from Everton

Super agent Kia Joorabchian is desperately trying to find a Premier League club for Philippe Coutinho, with Everton among the main candidates, according to Francesc Aguilar.

The Mundo Deportivio journalist states, however, that Liverpool are the most “determined” to sign their former player, but it seems as if the Toffees’ interest is still there.

Aguilar wrote: “Kia Joorabchian, Philippe Coutinho’s agent, is working against the clock in search of a Premier League team for the Brazilian. Wolverhampton, Everton and Liverpool have been interested in the Brazilian. His former team, Liverpool, seem the most determined.”

Will Everton get Coutinho?

Rafael Benitez’s favoured formation is a 4-2-3-1, and with James Rodriguez’s future uncertain, you would think that Coutinho could be the ideal man to slot in behind Everton’s striker [The Athletic].

The Brazilian has a fantastic Premier League record and was a regular source of goals and assists while he was at Anfield, contributing to 78 goals directly.

So, if Everton can beat Wolves and the Reds to his signing, that could be a spectacular deal, but it sounds as if the fight could be fierce.

One thing in Everton’s favour over their rivals, though, is that do Liverpool really need Coutinho? You could argue they don’t, and are Wolves as an attractive proposition as Everton with Benitez at the helm? You could also argue that they aren’t.

So the Toffees might actually be in a good position to seal the signing of Coutinho if he is so desperate to return to England, which seems to be the case.

He might have won the Champions League with Bayern Munich in 2020, but it’s been a rough few years for Coutinho, and he’ll be looking to get his career back on track.
